I've been on bad updater; I hate being so incredibly busy & preoccupied but there's not much if anything I can do about it. My throat started feeling scratchy & irritated yesterday so I hope that is not something that will get worse. I don't need to get sick right now.

So yeah I am sure that you all want to hear [in detail] how the weekend went. First of all, Bruce was awesome [as if I needed to mention that part]. I was anxious to get there so I didn't sleep a wink Friday night. I watched movies [ALIAS], TV, drank a nice bottle of red wine slowly as I nibbled on a plateful of old amsterdam cheese [thank you asit], a regular smoked gouda, a fine swiss cheese along with some cracked pepper table water crackers, a french baguette, herbed triscuits and to top it all off I had a bowlful of a beautiful balsamic vinegar mixed with a little little extra virgin olive oil that held the most delicious little roma tomato slices just marinating the night away. Ooh I almost forgot!! I had that cranberry-apple chutney for the old amsterdam. That is heaven right there, if only I had my Suisse next to me it would truly be a night of bliss but alas no, I was awaiting the morning light to bring him to me.

I had to be awake by 430 at the latest and I think I went to bed around 2am. Silly me! Ooh well, I knew I'd be able to sleep on both of the flights [I had connection flights] and possibly even on the drive to Phoenix. I did manage to do so, on the plane[s] not a wink on the drive. I was too thrilled to be back on the road with my baby! The last big road trip we had was for Labor Day weekend. This trip was a little bumpier though unfortunately for my baby... First we got rear-ended right as we were a block away from the hotel. It wasn't bad but it was enough to put a crack in his beloved PT bumper. Then on our way to the concert [after a nap etc] we ran over a board in the middle of the road. Apparently that board didn't like us & gave us not only a nail but a screw in the Driver's side rear tire. We didn't notice until we were about to walk to the venue & since he had a donut we just went inside.

The hotel was magnificent, thank you Crystal!! She totally hooked us up at her hotel. I can't wait to go back out there & do the spa/casino thing we all talked about doing at our late breakfast Sunday morning. That woman amazes me. She found yet another girl we went to middle school with on classmates.com - She's married with 3 adorable boys and living in Spain. Her hubby is in the Marines, how nice to be stationed some place like that huh? I do hope she remembers to pass along my email address. I'd love to get into touch with her too. It's amazing how some people can look exactly the same after 13 years. Ooh yeah that is me & Crystal at our late breakfast down below. She looks exactly the same as well for the most part. She was twiggy back in the day, broom stick more like it. She actually looks better after having her kid.

Anyways, Today is Cinco de Mayo, 05/05/05, and my little brother's 22nd birthday! Happy Birthday little 6 foot brother! Ooh yeah he has not been so much of a 'little' brother since he got his growth spurt in 6th/7th grade. So here I am off in 25 minutes to have dinner with the Fam. It's strange to think that I've missed two Sunday dinners now. Then it's off to my messy apartment. I have clothes everywhere! That is the worst part about traveling, I get too lazy to put my clothes back on hangers so I just toss them on the floor or kick them into the closet.
