I guess it's about time for me to do another update before it becomes two weeks or more since my last one. I know I didn't really update more then I actually posted pictures. Since most of you couldn't see where I was in those pics - look in the middle and you can see my back, you can see mostly of my 9 and barely the "cloud" before it and in a couple I have both refs trying to get me off of hedorah havoc. My goodness it was fun.

I'm going to Vegas for an entire week in the beginning of August for Rollercon. My derby wife just got a new job so she can't go with us but she might fly down for the last weekend so we can get 'married'. I'm so excited about going. I just got my packet w/ my all my fun Rollercon things like the my badge/all access pass.

I'm driving out Monday night after work (July 31st) with 4 or 5 other girls in my league. We're headed back sometime around Sunday so I hope we can be back by the time I have to be at work on Monday morning. I think I managed to pursuade my boss to let me leave work a bit early that Monday so we can get a nice head start for the drive. I think it's only 18 hours drive which isn't bad at all.

I haven't had a real vacation for a long time & I think that a week off is just what I need to get back on track.

Now a week with thousands of derby girls is just a bunch of trouble waiting to happen especially in Vegas of all places.

I know I've mentioned trying to get on a budget so I don't stretch myself too thin but I've gone and done myself in pretty bad financially. Never, ever assume anything when it comes to money. My check for the irrigation system I put in really fucked me because I wrote it 4 months ago and it was just now cashed. Luckily for me my mortgage was just picked up by Cha*se so when I stopped my direct deposit and took my mortgage payment to Cha*se they were able to start me a premium account and I get a lot of special perks because they hold my mortgage. They even gave me a temp atm card! I've never seen that but then again it's been a long time since I've switched banks. The gal I talked to even started talking to me about getting a home equity loan to use or not to use. I thought about perhaps using that to get my MINI, that is if I could get a better interest rate on using the heloc then at the dealer. I really need to take my car in to see how much carmax will give me for it cause I will also use that money as a down payment or whatever.

I saw Conun Monday night. I was all derby'd out coming from the social skate we hosted at midcities and as I walked up with my new friend whitley I heard someone say "Sera Femme!" which was him. I grabbed a beer and went out on the patio to say hi but that is all I did. He was expecting me to sit down or something and his friend said something about him moving his feet for me to sit but I just leaned in gave Conun a hug and said, Nope, not going to sit down just wanted to say hi! HI! About 20 minutes later I saw him standing on the side of the dance floor watching me dance. He even walked right through the dance floor on his way back (?) from going to the restroom which is completely out of the way from where he had been sitting (outside) earlier. I got a kick out of that.

Something that was really funny is some drunk woman came up to me and said "I don't like porn but you look like an awesome porn star!". I really didn't know if I should say thanks or not. Is that a compliment? I guess so, I look hot enough to be thought a porn star...Hmmm... I thought it was funny enough.

Oh, last Friday night I lost my karaoke discs. I took them with me to Scuba Joe's and I guess I left them there. I am going back tonight to talk to the DJ and see if he has them with him cause the bartender didn't have them at the bar and didn't see them sitting up in the DJ booth at all. I'm really depressed about that cause that's more then 300 bucks worth of CDs not to mention the priceless piece of napkin that contains all the songs I used to sing at my old Cheers. I've had that napkin for 5 yrs if not more.

X your fingers for me that he has them!

I'm headed out to go see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 with a few friends tonight. We wanted to get the entire hotties team to go but I'm having a hard time getting a hold of anyone. We're pirates dammit! We should be going to see this movie as a team together on it's first night out. Oh well.

Time to start getting ready. I'm starving!!
