I was reading O on my lunch break and came across a really cool tidbit that I thought I'd share. It's old news since the issue was from May but seeing how today is the 5th of July that it could work anyways.

5 Friends Every woman should have:

• The Uplifter
Mine would have to be, wait good question. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

• The Travel Buddy
Mary could be considered this one since we've been planning a bunch of trips but the only friend that I've really traveled with so far is... Natasha, my LBG. Although Mary did go with me on a very memorable road trip up to Sacramento. We went topless most of the way too & fro - and I don't mean it was my car that went topless the entire time.

• The Truth Teller
Again this award goes to Mary. She's been my no holds barred truth be told friend since '97.

• The girl who just wants to have fun
No questions asked this award goes to my girl Alana Joy!!

• The Unlikely Friend
This one is kind of hard to place since I've never stuck to one group of people as friends... I suppose I could say it'd be my Brucegirl only because there's no way I'd have had a great friend like her if the Internet did not exist and I had never stumbled across the Dland about 4-5 yrs ago.

I'm making new friends here. Most of them won't ever become nearly as good or as close to me as the few that I hold nearest & dearest but for as long as I am in the great [big] state of Tejas I am going to make the most of it & start having a life. I honestly don't know how I will pull off moving into a bigger & better apartment at the end of August since my job won't be announced until the end of September but at least that won't effect my week long vacation I'd like to take to CA over Labor Day weekend. Which reminds me, I should really turn in that request form.
